I am trying to get an hp dl380 g10 to boot off of a samsung evo 950 m.2 ssd. There are a couple of m.2 slots that are built into the riser in the back but I heard that they were only sata based. I then tried to install the m.2 onto a pci card but still can't find the settings to allow this ssd to be the boot drive. within the bios, I go to storage options but the pcie slot storage boot policy is grayed out. thanks for any suggestions,
jp

Knowing HPE they probably only enable the option when the NVMe riser is installed and not just using any PCIe cars slot, I know the risers just redirect pcie lanes but I bet HPE have some detection or validation going on.
