Hi!

The FTP with EOS-4.18.5M seems to be down. Do you have any other "source"?

Thank you!

There are other ftp servers with a v4.20.x eos image.

@Patrick can sth get in trouble when users link to servers hosting firmware images?

So someone mentioned earlier that they had used a Mellanox DAC with this switch and it was working. Do Mellanox direct attached copper and the direct attached optical fiber transceivers work fine? Or do they give unsupported messages and the switch has to be "unlocked" to work?
I'm using Mellanox copper cables without incident (eg: MC2206130-00A 0.5M cable). I've also used some Mellanox QSFP to SFP+ converter (eg: MAM1Q00A-QSA), even HP rebranded ones, and they all work fine.

I thinks it's fairly safe to say that most mellanox sku's are white-listed by Arista as the two have a very symbiotic relationship.

Cisco and HPE SFP/QSFP combinations do not work without workarounds. With more current versions of EOS, they just dont pass traffic :(

For the Cisco and HPE SFP/QSFP, is this for lamps only or DACs too?

Do anyone have problems with setting priority to the DCB traffic class?

I tried to run this:
Code:
dcbx application tcp-sctp 860 priority 5
But it only applies to ports I have set up in a LAG setup. The ports that are connected to the servers only get the PFC rules.
It do seem like DCBX is working since it is syncing the same rules to the other switch connected to the LAG interface and the servers get the PFC that are applied the witch port they are connected to.

Hello!
is anyone able to help with the EOS 4.18.5M firmware? I've just picked up a 7050T, the running config was on 4.13 - not too bad, however i've factory reset and it's regressed to 4.10.6

The FTP eluded to earlier has definitely gone - so if anyone has the 4.18 firmware I'd be very much appreciated!
Thanks

Guys, could anyone please provide a link or something (via PM) for EOS-4.18.5M firmware?
We got a second hand 7050S-52-F which is not compatible with anything higher than 4.18.x and official support refuses to provide firmware for a legit device.

Hi!

did you have any problems on upgrading? Arista writes, that you need at least two times the size of the image to install +240MB. The newer images show a size of 628MB.

As the flash size is only about 1.6 GB, that is hard to handle, as the "old image" consumes 430MB...

Can you give me a hint on how to update, or is there no problem, if I just start it?

1600 MB
- Old 4.16 Image 436MB
- New 4.18 Image 628 MB
--> Only 550 MB free...

Thank you for your help!

Has anybody tried flashing either EOS-4.20.2.1F.swi or EOS-4.20.5F.swi?
Both of these are still available and i am curious if these will work.

The easiest way to do this is to plug in a USB, copy the swi that's on the flash to the USB, then delete from flash. Then copy the new EOS from the USB back onto flash. Mod the boot file and reload.

EOS keeps the swi version plus a running version of the file on the flash.

Dear STH users,

I have just purchased an DCS-7050QX-32S(-R) and would like to upgrade it to the newest EOS when it arrives. Am i right that it currently is the 4.21.0F? Can somebody share it?

As far as i understood from End of Sale of Select Models of the Arista 7050SX, 7050TX and 7050QX Series - Arista, the "DCS-7050QX-32S" is in contrast to the "DCS-7050QX-32" not E-o-L, so it should get some EOS upgrades in the future. Is it correct? I could not find any E-o-L(S) notice for the S version.

Thank you!

You're correct, the S version is still being sold and is active. Here is the marketing site: 7050X Overview

You should be able to run 4.21.0F as well. We're running 4.20.5F on ours right now.
