So we just got some of those HPE Simplivity nodes here and they are pretty cool. This is my first foray into a hyperconverged solution.

I see there are quite a few Omnicube accelerator cards up on eBay. I know that before HPE acquired Simplivity, they had solutions for HP, Dell and Lenovo servers so I'm hoping the older cards are cross platform compatible. Anyone know what it would take to install these eBay cards into a couple of Supermicro based machines and get them going? I'm not sure what other hardware requirements are there and which of these cards and newer. Anyone have any experience with this hardware?

Software that you probably can't get...

and the network configuration is 3 VLans minimum. It was a pain to configure...

VLANs aren't a problem. I've got layer 3 switches with 10 Gbe. Do the later versions (3.7.x) support the older cards?

I do not know. I was working with the current version on Gen 10 hardware.
