After five years my cheap 1440p monitor has died so I need an idea for a good cheap 4k option in 27-28 inch size.

Looks like the current prices on 2k vs 4k is only about $50 so I might as well step up.

Currently I am running dual RX 570 8 gb Sapphire gpu's under Ubuntu 16.04.4 so it should handle 4k just fine.

Yep I sold the RX Vega 64 Frontier edition, I loved it but at full steam it was just too loud. The Rx570's are much quieter and run much cooler and have better performance in the applications that I use.

Last week , replaced my 2015 Seiki 4K TV PC monitor with a 2017 clearance model TCL 43S405 4K TV PC monitor.

It only cost $255 on Ebay ( Amazon is selling $250 today ).

I don't play game, only for watching video and text. Windows desktop resolution is 2840 x 2160 60HZ.
Pretty happy with it.

I have a LG 34" UW here if interested. Work bought me new monitors so no need for a third. (Really just don't have desk space for all of them.)

I am limited to less than a 30" moniter, the desk in my bedroom has a built in shelf that keeps me from going larger.

That and i'm very nearsighted and like to keep the pixel size as small as I can.
