PSU blackplane Recommendation

Hi,

I buy a PSU supermicro PWS-920P-1R and I will need a Blackplane with 24Pin + 8 pins + 8 pins what is the recommended one?

Supermicro provide a list to the cable details in their Power Supply Cable list. You want to look at the Power Distributors (the items beginning with PDB).

As @Rand__ mentioned, the chassis backplane and the number of drive bays typically drives the choice, 4U backplanes typically have 6x "4 Pin legacy HDD" cables, 3U backplanes have 4x, and 2U have 3x for 12 bays and 2x for 8 bays.

To determine the specifics of which Distributor is used in which chassis is to look at the specific chassis web page description, scroll to the bottom of the page and examine the components list. You will note that some PDB's are used in both 2U and 3U chassis.

thanks for answer, I m trying to make a wall mounted computer and for that I will not need chassis. I know the list britinpdx but I dont understand it , thanks for the clarification. Why it is so expensive buy a Blackplane for a PSU supermicro PWS-920P-1R?

Make sure you are picking ones with 24 pin + 2x 8pin

I see some for about $30. Not sure whether you are in US or outside.
