SuperMicro isn't the most user friendly when it comes to information on their products. Here's some additional info i came across while ordering parts for my build. I hope that it may help others.
This exact board is designed for used in two slightly different SuperMicro 1U cases SC505-203B and SC504-203B. The main difference is front vs rear IO. The cases come with a 200 watt power supply with the only fan being the PS 40mm exhaust fan. They also include mounting holes for up to three 40mm fans that would blow across the passive CPU heat sink.

Supermicro Fan:
Supermicro 40mm Axial 8,500 Fan (FAN-0100L4)
In the recommended cases you will need the SuperMicro fan tray. You need one tray for each fan. The dual fan tray is created by combining two fan trays. The part number for the fan tray is MCP-320-81302-0B.
If you decide to use the MB in another case you will need to ensure proper airflow for the heat sink or switch to an active heat sink. If you are looking for aftermarket heat sinks there's not much out there for the FCBGA 1667 socket. Luckily the former rPGA988 socket has the same screw spacing. I'm sticking to the recommended case but if you're willing to mod it looks like different cooling options exist.
