I have a Netgear ProSafe GS752TXS switch which has 4 x 10G SFP+ Ports

I plan on adding a Mellanox Connectx-2 to both my ESXi host, and my Synology NAS. Both seem to be compatible, but I am confused about DAC Cables

This is the eBay listing I am looking at - LOT OF 2 671798-001 COMPATIBLE MNPA19-XTR 10GB ETHERNET NETWORK CARD W/CABLE | eBay

Should those cables work with my GS752TXS? I know they are SFP+, however I heard there is compatibility between different switches and DAC's and how they are programmed

Yes, the compatibility should be taken into account when connecting two switches. But it seems that this DAC is only compatible with Mellanox, but not with the GS752TXS.

As long as you are sticking to shorter passive DAC cables like 1M or 2M netgear is cool. It doesn't really like the 3-5M length sometimes!
