I've also read that it doesn't support XEON ES CPU's. If that's true I'd look elsewhere.

They had me until 1GbE, Supermicro has a $100 price difference from the C621 to C622 boards. Given the total build cost for this kind of workstation, I'd rather pay the extra money than have an AIC.

I would prefer 10G also.

But... not one workstation board that I have reviewed so far, either single or dual processor comes with 10G, except for the X99-E-10G.

Supermicro X11SRA, which I use with a Xeon W, has one 5G Ethernet and one 1G Ethernet.

5G is less useful than 10G, mostly because you must pair it with a less common compatible interface at the other end of the cable. Nonetheless, if you can use it, that is a large improvement over 1G.

Ok that's strange, about the only board I have seen that has 5G.
And it’s a premium board expected to take expensive cpu, the 10g version of the same chip should be only a few $ more.
Would be fine if there was more multi gig switches about but don’t see that many.... yet...

Agree. Strange is that super-expensive mobos don't have all whistles integrated: 10G, SAS controller, etc. It's a cool board with 6x PCIE 16x slots, but then I add 10G card and RAID controller and can only put two videocards =(
