I have been out of IT for 3 years now, so I'm not up to date on HBAs.
I'm looking for recommendations for used/new HBAs with support for disks larger than 4tb, the old IBM ServRAIDs that I have don't support disks larger than 3tb.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

^^ that will def keep you going for quite a long time.

You should still be fine with SAS 2308 based cards such as HP H220. Used can be had for $40-50 range.

Or even Dell H310 (SAS 2008) if you are primarily using mechanical drives. You can find these for 25-35 in the used market.

Only concern I have on the New ones is the Chinese counterfeit even buying from US resellers. Where as the used ones came off the Dell/HP/IBM production servers.
