Good morning all, can anyone recommend or assist in identifying a good small'ish Wall-Mount Rack /w semi-shallow depth and maybe 4-6U. This is about the closest I could find to what I am looking for to address/clean-up my home de-marc location (not rack, that is in another part of basement).

Tripp Lite SRW12U13
SmartRack 12U Low Profile Patch Depth Wall Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinet (SRW12U13) | Tripp Lite

Other options appreciated. I need something about 1/2 the RU at the options listed above w/ a similar depth.

TIA, whitey

EDIT: Guess these are closer to what I want: Guess my google-fu was off last night when I was searching.

Out of those last two links, can anyone weigh-in on preference? They both look spot on for what I could use.

I'm leaning towards the APC model but have had good experiences w/ Tripp Lite PDU gear in the past. Locks look abt the same, top access on both I believe.

Thx for feedback. Thinking on it for a bit before I pull the trigger...well that and prioritizing a few purchases in my head.

If you were close to VA I have a new 12Uish you can have for near nothing. I bought it not realizing how shallow it was.

Bummer, Thanks for thought!

EDIT: THIS is the atrocity that is bugging me and I am hoping to address w/ this solution, gonna source either a HP Procurve 2530-8g or Juniper EX2200-C to swap out that HP 1800-8G J9029A POS and throw my non-metered tripp-lite spare 1U PDU in there as well to address power instead of that 2 plug nonsense. Clean up cabling/extra RG-6 I will probably never use. Cable cutter here, all media/TV over network via Plex/HDHR, RasPlex, etc. network based media, we don't need no stinkin' RG-6!

You are welcome. Offer is open to anyone near VA. I travel between MD and SC sometimes.

So I am still torn between these two options:

Tripp Lite 6U Wall-Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinet, Switch-Depth (SRW6U) - Newegg.com
http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/produ...YxgxAnpkejhlD2HL3oberWmW5PZWp1MaAvMJEALw_wcB#

I would prefer the APC unit but I am nervous that my HP procurve 2920al switch that is right about 13" on the button in depth will possibly not fit the APC unit when I see tech specs below: (Maximum mounting depth is what jumps out at me)

upload_2017-11-10_11-21-15.png

Thoughts? The TrippLite unit has very generic dimensions/listing this:

Unit Dimension: 14.5" x 23.5" x 17.5" (lists on home page for product Secures 6U of 19 in. rack equipment up to 16.5 in. deep so this is probably the safer option.)

Think I will be fine w/ APC unit or is that cutting it too close and no tolerance for 1/8-1/4"? Guess I gotta account for pwr plug as well in depth 'maybe' unless it is out of the way of rack rails/mounts/back of unit and I have a lil' wiggle room for that if I do go w/ the APC unit.

Help a brotha out! :-D

The rails are adjustable on the SRW6U, so that up to 16.5in means you have almost no clearance for patch cords at the front (17.5 depth) if you want to close the door. I dont have access to mine or I would measure for you.

AKA don't go the APC route else I 'may' be sorry, guess I will stop stressing about 1-2 inches extra depth on the TrippLite unit, may save my bacon down the road. Is that the vote?

EDIT: OK, pulled the trigger on the SRW6U unit.

Thanks all!

Figured I'd let ya'll know how this project turned out. One more drywall piece near security system and some cable cleanup a bit more and she's finito'!

Thanks, only thing that 'may' change is a swapout of the 2530-8g for a 2920al w/ J9731A 10GbE module (already own) to give true 10G conn between Juniper ex4300 in 1/2 rack and demarc point which is 1GbE conn feeding all those ports currently to the house. I never run into that type of bottleneck where all the runs in the house compete for that 1GbE link now consistently but in the future maybe if I move a Xeon-D system to my office :-D

This would be the HP Procurve I would swap out happily waiting for a new role.

Yeah I JUST measured and that 2920 would be a TIGHT fit anyways, I did not account for the fan handle which add's another 1.5".

Open up your wallet! hah

Projects a wrap and the unit you listed was ont applicable for my application, I needed a PDU, patch panel, and switch mounted in this demarcation point of my house. Don't get me wrong, I loves me some fs.com products but that was not gonna get the job done.
