The older layout had a date at the top.

The linked guide is from first or second quarter 2015.

I think some of the guides should be updated with "newer" options (eg optane, iodrives, nvme ssds) or more generalized (freenas & omnios choices for slogs, hhds & hbas are pretty similar)

Ah, so just to confirm Is the E6600 still the optimal choice or can we go higher in core-count?
Kidding. Although since the Q6600, performance has gone up a lot without increasing the number of cores.

It would be nice to have some timestamps, especially since you guys make really great quality articles, but hardware changes quickly.

Yesterday's advice might be to never use an i3, pentium or even Atom processor.

Today's, recommendation might be to use one of these 3 CPU line-ups, preferably quad-core, but check benchmarks and ECC-support.

I was very impressed by your 16-core Atom benchmarks.

According to the CMS, almost exactly a year ago. Good point on the refresh.

Noticed a few other items that need to get fixed on those pages. For now added Last updated 2016/09/17
