3. What do you mean with support ? Boot from it? Recognize it? Use it as PCIe device? Have drive cages for it?

Maybe I should put it to hard drives and ssd.
Yes, my idea is to install and boot the system from a NVMe SSD (Samsung MZ V6E2 S24 A450BW SSD 960 Evo Nvme) with a M.2 PCIe adapter. From the specs, ML30 Gen9 supports PCIe 3.0 x16 (and x8, x4), but I don't know if it can be booted up from NVMe SSD.

Well, this document here kind of implies it should work

Functionality requiring UEFI:
Booting NVMe drives

But I dont have one so I can't vouch for it;)
