Hello,
to get my OSX workstations onto 10Gbit i just ordered 2x Solarflare SFN5122F, as they are said to be supported.

Length will be >5m for both, so no way to go with DAC.
So, still in need for (potentially cheap) SR SFP's.

Don't know how picky the cards are, so any recommendation what SFP's to get ?
Switch is a Dell X4012.

Haven't used this type of card, but you can go to fs.com where can provide large amount of module types. You can directly ask their sales representative.

I've used SFN5122, 6122, and 7122 extensively. I have never encountered a transceiver that did not work in them. They are not picky at all.
