They're expensive for two reasons : 1. They're active cables 2. They're rare as rocking horse shit.
When I last looked at this, it was far cheaper and easier to buy two SR transceivers and just use a fibre patch

It is more recommendable to use the 10G fiber transceivers connected by the fiber cable, which must cost less than the XFP to SFP+ DAC and have a better performance for your network.
