Do you know if I need to be logged in for the coupon code to be reflected in the cart or if I need to place an order on phone and mention it?I got an email yesterday with a promo code 'BlackFriday', which gives you 5% off. Code expires 11/28/16.

Thanks for the reply, that tells me what I need to know, i.e. a lone GTX 1070 won't give me much of a performance hike over the dual xeons in rendering, plus with the CPUs I can use all my 64GB RAM. I'm not a pro so my funds are limited, just can't stretch to a multi GPU setup. These E5-2670 xeons + Natex S2600CP have been a stellar used deal for me, love my machine! So I'll probably wait it out until the next crazy deal comes along before I pull the trigger again.@Roy68 so far for gpu rendering in single gtx 1070 is on par with my dual xeon specially if you use fstorm render, the displacement is almost realtime, thats why i wanted to add 2 or 3 more 1070 if the motherboard will support it even if it run's only pcie 2.0
here is a 30 second render on my gtx 1070 on 2k reso
My usb thumb drive still remain in exploerer after wake up from sleepAnyone have usb sleep issues with the S2600 motherboards on Windows 10? The USB Devices don't come back online
Intel server hardware usually doesn't support (I would even say 'never supports') ES/QS CPUs. So you'll need to take Asus/Supermicro/Other manufacturer's option.Does anyone know if Engineering Sample CPUs are supported on server boards like the Intel C602 ones? I have come across a great deal for 12C E5-V2 ES CPU and it's worth pulling the trigger if these server boards actually support them.
Do you mean these bright dots on the pads? They are from the socket pins, probably it was set too tight. Nothing special, should work well. There is a slight beamish on the pins of my e5 2670 from NATEX. Is the cpu usable? Any issues? It's not on the other cpu I have
You mean the discoloration of the pads at the bottom? It's quite normal. I bought a matching pair E5-2670 and both the processors had discolored pads. Few were brighter while few were darker. It's completely normal and the processor should work fine. You could try cleaning the underside with alcohol to see if it helps. I would totally disregard it and just install the processor. No , I mean the faint line on one of the gold squares , nearer the lower left side
Yeah, it looks like the price is stable around $100 in the last month or so. Prior to that, it got to $75.Can't find e5-2670 cheaper than $100/piece. It seems that Natex is out of stock with these.
I only need one CPU for testing . I already have my setup with a supermicron X9DR3-LN4F (great if you can over look the size -- I am talking about the motherboard, not the lady).yeap, looks like the firesale of xeon cpus are over. it was good while it lasted. I wish i got on it earlier too. back in june, the e5-2686 v3 QS was around $400. now you can't even find one for less than $550. ;(. I did got the 2 e5-2670 cpu from natex without the MB for another build though
Natex still have the CPU/MB/128GB or 64GB ram combo at good price. you should consider getting the combo and selling off the MB and ram if you don't need them.
