it supports Link Aggregation , so you can uplink with more than 10Gbit.

these are very power efficient providing you stick with SFP+.
they seem to only power on the port when a cable or transceiver is plugged in.
Mine draws around 10-15 watts at 240v from my UPS. with 4 SFP+, 2 DACs and 1 RJ45 running at gigabit.
Direct Attached Copper is very hit and miss in regards to support. see the similar forum threads for info. this is apparently being worked on by ubiquiti on their forum.

got redundant uplink, currently 2x 1Gbit as a vrrp active/passive behind - what i handle with a pair of lb4m + an isl.

looking to replace them with a pair of 10gbit switches with ideally lower power specs that can use both uplinks .... and skip 1gbe networking behind

Yeah seems people are selling them out of frustration due to all the DAC compatibility and 10gbase-t link speed problems they're having with Intel nics found on Xeon D boards. Solution from UBNT forum so far? Use 1 gig negotiation.

It's a shame because the mix of SFP+ and base-t is the right amount for my environment.
