Am I correct that once you flash to the 9300 IT firmware nobody has determined a way to flash back to the 9341/9340 firmware?

I thought I saw that was the preferred/trusted ver based on flash experiences of the community based on a couple of threads but I may be wrong.

This was a good deal as I'm having trouble finding a SAS3 HBA for under $200. Oddly, I can get an Intel SAS3 RAID Controller for $200, but I just want an HBA. Has anyone seen any more of these in the $100 range?

I didn't get the memo on this, and flashed to P13. It's running half my zfs array, I'll report back w/ any issues. It seems okay though, from the limited time I've used it. SMART data comes through fine.

There is one for $115 on Ebay atm, and there is a seller in Europe asking €130 but taking €100 on best offer... but none as cheap as the original find...

Thank you sir! I've searched a few times and somehow missed that.

It seems I need to do some research on wide port SAS3. For example, using wide port on the same controller (likely FreeBSD, the M1215 I just ordered, MPIO and cabling). This is for home use with a ZFS array, so no SLA's to worry about and my most critical data will be sync'd to another local server and most of my data is backed up offsite. It seems like a good opportunity to better learn SAS and wide/dual port outside of SAN's and other systems where it is expected and well tested.

I think it just popped up today and good to hear that you got it.
Check out ebay OEM XS (Kalleyomalley) for SAS cables. Search for AXXCBL. HD is the 8643, MS 8087 etc. They accepted ~10 + shp for a set of 2. Fellow members can point to other sources for good quality cables.
My only recommendation is to get good ones.
I got one of these cards and flashed it to IT. Yet to put it to use. Hopefully soon

Is the onboard RAM option implemented at all when these are flashed to IT/HBA mode?
