Hi!

I have around 20 x 500gb Samsung SM1625 SAS SSD's nad am looking for a way to use them.
I also have 2 x 6g Dell HBA's: link my plan is to use these two cards with SFF-8088 to SFF-8087 cables: link

The question is, where can I find a backplane that can support these drives in dual port configuration and give me the full performance?

It seems that this Supermicro should do the work - link, but in the documentation for the backplane it says:
"These dual-port expanders support cascading, failover, and recovery."

Also do I need a 12G controller, or 6g is enough?

I think you'd need something like a Supermicro E26 chassis. That looks like the right expander backplane.

Those drives are only 800MB/s with dual port. I'd probably just run them single port.
