In the specs/manual it says: Two (2) SO-DIMM slots support up to 16 GB of DDR3/L, unbuffered, 1600/1333 MHz, ECC SO-DIMM memory DIMM Sizes 8GB, 4GB, 2GB It doesn't support 16GB single Registered SO-DIMM.

I see there are bunch of listings on ebay for the 16GB ECC Registered SODIMM modules (SORDIMM). After doing some searching I wasn't able to find even one motherboard which would accept such module. Does anybody know any product which would work with it? Regards

It will take a lot of DIMMs/cards to populate all the slots on that motherboard :)

I'd also speculate that there is a possibility of inflicting electrical damage (depending on what pins are shortened).

Received the pair 1 day ahead of estimated scheduled delivery. Thoroughly packaged, run simple test - work fine. Satisfied with the outcome :)

acmcool, I appreciate that you are trying to resolve the situation. Returning the board is not the best option for me - I do have pair of those E5-2630L on the way (hopefully...) Debating if I should take a risk and attempt to fix it up (I do understand if I do that, return/refund is off the table)
