Yeah I have used forwarders too, rough calculation that after shipping and import duties I'd be paying £350 a drive which isn't a *great* bargain. NVME prices seem to be going up though

BPN-SAS3-846EL1-N8 can be obtained from supermicro through resellers, they seem to have them a little more available. However they are 800+ euro.

Apparently the firmware locks them to pcie gen 3 speeds, maybe this can be flashed? Still an amazing deal and the seller said the drives are nearly brand new.

What's the best value SAS3 chassis for 40+ disks? Something modern, not too power hungry, well supported and has remote IPMI to turn off/on? CSE-847E1C-R1K23JBOD fits the bill but is £1500, anything better value out there?

Can't go any lower sadly, individual sticks are selling £40-50 each atm, it's already a good deal at £37.50 each :)
