Ended up buying a PERC200 flashed to IT and managed to format the HDD's :)

:( no shipping to NL... but you can pick the Warehouse deals too. 169$ -20% = $135 a drive.

Months later finally trying again.... sg3_utils does not see the disks (sg_scan), but storcli does. However I can't format from there ; (

Did some upgrades and can now change them from - Unconfigured Bad to Unconfigured Good - Unconfigured Good to JBOD but shortly after it goes back to "Unconfigured Bad" with Drive Speed etc not being known. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

took some Google fu to get the correct version. I managed to flash the IBM firmware from 22th of June 2017. My SC847 lights finally work like they should now lol... Also some unsupported disks are now supported :) Guess I just have to flash IBM firmware instead of AVAGO Sent from my iPhone...

Currently using a ServeRaid M5210 in MR mode (JBOD... no (hw) raid config).. but it just says unsupported and can't perform any action on it. Will check if I can find someone closeby to re-format them for me .. :)

Can't switch them to JBOD nor change block in megaraid software as it shows unsupported. As my motherboard is in for rma i'll probably send the disks back ;/ Might be fixable with a ubuntu live cd though Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yeah but that's E5-2630L (low power) + v4 (more efficient) ^^. Hence my debate for swapping my E5-2650v3 for E5-2630L/E5-2650L v3 or going with a E5-2630L v4 .... can't use the turbo unlock on the v4's... but a low power v3 with turbo unlock seems really good.
