    5019D-FN8TP-X11SDV-4C-TP8F New in Box $500

Did you uncheck the Preserve Configuration and Preserve SDR boxes before starting the upgrade? I was able to flash the BIOS to 1.5 and BMC to 1.73.12 without issue.

HPE EC200A Xeon D-1518 'hybrid server' on ebay ~$150

The embedded NIC firmware is up to v1.2836.0 and the W2016/2019 Agentless Management Service is at v10.99.0.0. These run pfSense very well. Fan noise seems dependent on the fan itself - some are near silent, others make a bit of noise. All of them are audible above 33% and scream at >66-70%...

    5019D-FN8TP-X11SDV-4C-TP8F New in Box $500

I have a Supermicro A1SRM-2758F that was pulled from previous duty recently. So, I tried scrounging around for something to put it in but finally bit the bullet and bought a 1U case (SuperChassis 510T-203B). Of course, I want an SFP+ and that requires a riser card. Off to eBay. It should be here...

Dell R730xd with PCIe Extender for U.2 NVMe

I probably should have stated: a Dell PCIe Extender (P/N: P31H2 or GY1TD) works with the HBA330 mini, H730 mini, and H730P mini in an R730xd. The H330 mini was not tested. Layout wise, slots 4 and 6 have sixteen lanes. The cable (P/N: 1PDFM) is sized to mate with the card when seated in slot 4...

Dell R730xd with PCIe Extender for U.2 NVMe

After ending up on the forums for an unrelated subject after being absent for a while, I remembered this thread and figured I should update it. TL;DR it was a PEBKAC issue. Thanks for the link to the firmware thread. I'd looked through it when I was considering a card swap in an R330 and found...

Dell R730xd with PCIe Extender for U.2 NVMe

I'm looking for a sanity check and maybe some direction from anyone with a Dell PCIe Extender in an R730xd 24+2 bay server. I've purchased two PCIe Extenders from two different sources. One new from China that came with LP and FH brackets has a GY1TD part number. The other was purchased used...

    PFSense OPT Interfaces ??

I'm probably replacing an Atom D525 (Supermicro 5015A-EHF-D525) with a Xeon D-1541 (Supermicro SYS-5018D-FN4T). I found some of the if_bridge information I was looking for here: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D24250 https://reviews.freebsd.org/D24249

    PFSense OPT Interfaces ??

Do you know where in the if_bridge pipeline the bottleneck is? I intend to replace my current setup with 2x10Gb SFP+ and was going to bridge each one with a 1GbE port. I'm not concerned with 10Gb VLAN <-- bridge --> 1GbE performance but am trying to hunt down what effect it will have on 10Gb...

    PFSense OPT Interfaces ??

I currently run multi-wan and have a few VLANs with dedicated, untagged ports. There's also CARP.

HPE EC200A Xeon D-1518 'hybrid server' on ebay ~$150

I put Server 2019 on it to see how things handled and have the same issue. Matrox G200eH, iLO 4 core, and iLO 4 channel interface drivers are installed. ProLiant Agentless Management service too . Did you find out what it is?

HPE EC200A Xeon D-1518 'hybrid server' on ebay ~$150

For those of us with more modest requirements, I can confirm that Samsung M393A1G43DB0-CPB 2Rx8 PC4-2133P 8GB modules work fine.

    eBay - Intel Xeon E5-2680V4 - $168

Ordered 2. No guarantees but the box I received was 10" x 8" x 2.75" (was stamped by ULine as 2" high but...nope). Each CPU was in a clam shell and the clam shells were bubble wrapped.
