Thanks once again and sorry for the trouble.
Yes it is a dl380.
Currently I have 14 disks on the chassis ( of which 12 SSDs) hence I suppose the expander is already there.. since I have a 410 and 410i controller
Thanks a lot for the help.
I haven't opened it yet but I have 12 ssds. Maybe they are spread to the 410 controller also.
Can you share a link of that expander? I though I could just buy the 16i version and avoid any expander
I didn't know I could change the 410i to IT mode. Will it work ok...
Hi,
I have at the company a HP G7 with 12x 120gb SSD with HP 410i controller.
I wanted to be able to pass through these SSDs directly to a VM on KVM to be able to install a Openstack Ceph mode with direct access to the drives.
I have checked the recommendations on the website for nappit and I...
Yes. That is why I find strange that they claim it is not supported.
I think SM has just disabled the option. But now with this custom BIOS one should be able to do it.
Hence the request to you or Jerry or whoever also made it work for the full steps so that I can possibly try it on this...
From SM support!! as told previously :) :
"Tonight or tomorrow I will post the custom BIOS they sent, but use it at your own discretion. As it turns own it doesn't seem to be officially supported."
Hi,
Right now I can't sorry. I have to focus on having KVM working since I need this for work.
When I have time maybe I will definitely try it.
You can try it yourself if you have ESXi since I have posted the custom BIOS on the other thread!
Thanks
Also can anyone provide some help with #705 ? I am still trying to figure out if with the custom BIOS 1.0B which has SR-IOV I am able to find the correct SR-IOV configuration to check if it still works or not at least on the i350.
The Custom BIOS: X10SDVF5_909.zip
Once again use it at your own...
Hi all, I noticed this topic recently.
Can anyone who was able to make SR-IOV work on BIOS 1.0a detail the config /versions please?
Mine is described here but can't ping between VMs:
