Thanks, much appreciated. I wasn't sure what to price these modules, as I was getting zero exact hits on ebay for "Nanya NT8GC72C4NGONL-CG". I saw some online server memory dealers showing a price of $99 per module; I knew that wasn't the current value.
I really couldn't say, I am more familiar with desktop motherboards having thermal sensors, for the CPUs and various other components.

I have an X9DR7-LN4F board, ipmi works fine, but the temps can be read via lm-sensors, in a running linux OS.
But. I'm not sure how having a running OS blends with the intended usage of your system...?
**Update**
Go it it working, this board's BIOS didn't have the feature to adjust the PCIE gen3 to any other. Did change Video priority to "offboard", then switched the jumper(JPG 1).
