I was wrong about my heatsink contact; adding about 1mm of copper shims has dramatically improved my temps. I can run 100% cpu utilization for an hour and temps reach 60-65c vs. capping at 105c immediately prior. No changes to BIOS or OS settings. Heatsink/lid is painful to the touch but...
