Unfortunately for my home lab setup that is too much power usage :( (Power prices here are going through the roof
Someone reported a Node with 1 CPU in the BIOS was consuming 80w, which is close to 50% of your 1 node 2 CPU node
Given I do not need lots of grunt...
Think I just answered my own question
People reportedly are using the IBM M1015 SAS card, well I have one of those in my spare parts here
The two cards I mentioned are actually the same size, in which case they should fit :)

I was thinking of having 1 node always running with a single CPU, so about 80w at idle is what I'm looking at (My E3-1245v2 pulls about 70w with mild load already)

I'm close to dropping cash on a C6100 with the L5639 CPU's (I need these for nested virtualization on ESXi 5.1+
The C6100 with L5520 CPU's came in with power consumption numbers (Taken from the first post)
