AMD EPYC Embedded 3000 series motherboards?

So I found the manual for these boards. like some other supermicro boards, they group multiple similar boards into 1 manual. https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/EPYC3000/MNL-2172.pdf of note. On page 29 it says the following "Local Area Network (LAN) PortsThere are two LAN ports...

Poor Low Que Depth Performance with Windows 10 Guest under Proxmox KVM 5.3-8

So when I ran these original benchmarks I did it by cloning VM's from another storage disk onto the optane 900p. Just for the hell of it I made new win 10 VMs, ran crystaldiskmark and I got much better results. I have no idea why/how the cloned VM's seem to be limited performance wise by the...

Poor Low Que Depth Performance with Windows 10 Guest under Proxmox KVM 5.3-8

ok. So I cant make sense of this. I've done some testing running the intel Optane 900p 280gb ssd inside a windows 10 VM under proxmox 5.3-8 and I cant figure out why I'm only getting around 50MB 4K Q1 performance. bare metal performance should be closer to 200Mb/sec, one of the great benefits of...

Supermicro Trying to Deny RMA for Broken Dimm clip

The craziest thing ever. Supermicro is trying to deny my RMA for a A1SRI-2758F because one of the SO-DIMM clips is broken. The clip was not broken before I mailed it in, so it must have broke in transit. Has anyone experienced anything like this. Of course I submitted the RMA because the board...

    Ryzen 7 2700X for $245

I have a 2700x in my "thin client", love that cpu. If you have a microcenter near by the 1700x is only 139.99 and its almost the same CPU as the 2700x. 3% IPC difference I think.

    Atom C3000-series: SuperMicro A2SDi-4C-HLN4F

while i've been looking at both the A2SDI-4C and the A2SDI-8C for a new pfsense box, i've also beening looking at the A2SDI-8C for a new freenas box as I contemplated getting out of DDR3 since DDR4 no longer is crazy expensive. My understanding with these boards though is that the number of SATA...
