What does the cpu-z shows and the intel cpu test tool result? Is it fake ES sample or really a SR1Xh?

I'm also keeping an eye on these, but I'm a bit cautious because of the thread on the Intel forums.

Zeynel: what's your experience so far? Working ok, ES/not ES, etc.?

I picked up 2x SR1XH labeled chips from a US seller a few weeks ago and they turned out to be ES CPUs. I haven't tried any of the overseas sellers. In my case, seller agreed to a refund with no issue, but just something watch for if you're scooping any of these up on the cheap. :)

Just curious, but how did you determine they were ES? The only indication that they are ES in the thread on Intel forums was the output from CPU-Z, while Intel support mentions that 'it does not appear to be ES'. Peculiar, but tempting nonetheless :)

Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool has a built-in module specifically to test whether or not a CPU is a production chip. If pass = yes, if fail = no.
