so you used the mounting hardware that came with your cooler or did you use stuff you had laying around the house?
oh and could you maybe help me with buying a riser because i have never dealt with that website and dont even know which button to click to order the item
All the parts came with the watercool system except the spring. If you happen to purchase the heatsink which require bracket on the back of the motherboard then u may use my method if you want. Else most heatsink are standard mount.

As for the riser, their site doesn't provide shipment to US nor UK. You may find your local fowarding agent that are able to purchase behalf for you on china. Do aware of the shipment price. Alternatively, ask around in STH, i believe there will be someone for sure with extras.

i finally received my cable today. so i finally got the chance to see if it would work and it did. only there is still one issue that i am having. when i try to update the bmc or bios using the dell utility i downloaded from the dell website it says my system isn't compatible and it thinks i have a dcs8100 instead of a c6100 so thats wierd... but ok it works so that is nice :D

i just booted up the motherboard with a 4-pin cpu power connected instead of 8-pin so does this mean that i can just run it with the 4-pin without any issues or does the motherboard acutually need the extra 4 pins?

Depends on what CPUs you have installed. The CPU power connectors deliver power directly to the CPU voltage regulators. With lower power spec CPUs you are normally OK with just a 4-pin connector plugged in (not scientific, but probably 80W processors and lower are safe - E5640/E5540, L5638, L5520, etc - might even be safe @ 95W with E5650/E5550). For high power processors (X5690@130W) you better plug in an 8-pin connector.

excellent! this means i can use the psu for my main rig again :D since that was the only psu with a 8-pin connector
edit:are you talking about a single e5520 being ok or will 2 also work?
