fyi for future reference: Seasonic Focus Plus and Core cables fit the NZXT E-Series PSUs.

Or at least the PCI PEG cable does.

HD 3850 came in the mail and it's working, hooray!

Wish it's fan wasn't so goddamn loud though :( next step: waterblock?

I also added a Noctua NF-A4x20 fan to the northbridge of the P4P800SE to make it run significantly cooler. Damn thing gets stupidly hot.

That A4x20 is very, VERY quiet for a 5000 RPM fan though!

Ordered a 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 Prescott off eBay K-A, I wonder how far I can push this one. 4.3 GHz plus would be nice on water!

Still no sign of my Pentium 4 :|

In other news, I got bored last night and did this with the backup rig:

That was at 6c garage temperature, GPU didn't go above 41C even at 1.25V lol. Next step: wait until it cools down even more and try to hit 1.55+ GHz.

Since i'll be tearing the loop in my main down soon anyways I decided to buy a fillport. I also will be benching the backup rig later tonight, temps will drop down to around 4c.

Pushed the RX480 and 2600 even harder:

This was 1500 MHz/1.3V and 4.3 GHz/1.45V at around 7c ambient temperature.

I noticed a small amount of silicate buildup in the reservoirs of both the backup rig and my external WC unit. Since i'm almost out of Fleetguard ES Compleat coolant, which has silicates in it, i'm thinking of getting ES Compleat OAT this time around as it's silicate free.

Can confirm that Fleetguard's coolants are amazing though, no corrosion whatsoever in any of my blocks, even in my main that appears to have some strange (algae?) buildup in the blocks and res.

**** yes, finally found a Vega 64 Nitro+! Not the LE unfortunately, but A. it was cheap locally (€195) and B. never mined and box+invoice included.

Amazing to see GTA V finally at >60 FPS in 1200p! Next step: Bykski block.

Bykski block ordered. Still dialing the card in, am currently at 1650/1.1V
Card doesn't go much above 1750 at 1.2V :|

I also finally received the goddamn Pentium 4 3.2 I ordered early November, apparently the address was incorrect (???? wtf lol it was correct) but I thankfully received it. CPU does 4.3 GHz on water at ~270 FSB, not bad!

Just flushing and running some Primochill System Reboot through the main rig:

That fillport is giving me more hassle than utility, it overflows VERY easily.

System flushed and refilled with Compleat EG coolant. I dropped 20 degrees by cleaning the waterblock and repasting the 5950X!

Wasmachineman going full retard, no way /s

Idiot me forgot to place a VRM thermal pad on the right side VRM of the Vega in my old rig and I was wondering why my computer kept crashing under load lmfao, SOC VRM was hitting 105C+ during gaming.

So I guess i'm doing this:

Yes, I bought a 5800X3D. Backup rig will get the 5950X to replace the 2600 that's giving me so much goddamn trouble because it's IMC is a piece of shit.

I'll order a 990 Pro next year or so.

5800X3D came in the mail. Initial impressions: holy shit it absolutely annihilates memory latency. It also runs cooler than my 5950X for whatever reason, and I seem to get better framerates all around in BeamNG and VRChat.

Haven't tried STALKER or GTA V yet, but will do after updating the BIOS to the latest C8DH beta BIOS that exposes Curve Optimizer and PBO2 options.

Just noticed the plexiglass on my TechN block in the main is starting to form visible cracks :(

Found someone selling a like-new Optimus Foundation on eBay for €100 and I promptly bought it. Not sure what i'll do with the TechN block though. Maybe use it in my bench rig?

Almost died of a ****ing heart attack, I got my Optimus block in, installed it as usual, IT STARTED ****ING LEAKING AAAAAAAAAAA

Apparently the seller forgot to mention that he swapped the tops around, it had the Acetal top but it also included a Plexiglas top as a extra. Swapped them around and it seems to be watertight again.

Imagine if I didn't catch that leak in time and it would break the 6900 XT below it...

I have tried Anomaly and GTA V since then. Not much if any performance increase because i'm GPU bound at 1600p lol

oh dear look what I did:

Yes, I decided to install water cooling in the wipe rig. Stupid, yes. Jank? YOU BET!
