intel benchmarks

VS.
Intel® Xeon® W-3245, PL1=205W, 16/32, Turbo up to 4.4GHz, Motherboard: EVGA SR-3 DARK 10G, Motherboard Type: Production, BIOS: 1.04, Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro P2000, GFX Driver Version: 462.96, Memory: 192GB (6x32GB, 2933 MHz) DDR4 ECC RDIMM, Storage: 960GB Intel(R) Optane(TM) 905P, OS: Linux, OS Version: Ubuntu, OS Build: 20.04.2 LTS4U

Xeon W-3245 on a EVGA SR-3 Dark(C622) in Intel database
risky to use the C622 because Xeon W-3200 is not supported.

I just installed a W-3265M on it, the X11SPA-TF have 205W TDP support, the CPU is rated at 205W, isn't that enough?
I exaggerated a bit (X11SPi)
the X11SPA uses a better VRM unit.
i mean if you use a Xeon W - then mostly in a Workstation case with not so ideal cooling of the VRM power stages.

Ok thanks, this reassures me a little :D ...and yes, I meant the X11SPI, not SPA, that was a typo.
I think I will eventually take one of these anyway, if I can find one... which also have 255TDP support and a better heatsink for both the VRM and the 10G chip (which gets very hot as I see in the X11SPI).

TDC not TDP. even if the CPU has 195W, if the TDC is 255Amp it will not run.
