Hello,

I have a x10dri-t motherboard. ipmitool was showing an error for VBAT like so,

Code:
VBAT | 1.54 Volts | nr
I thought this was related to CMOS battery, so i replaced it with another battery. However, VBAT doesnt seem to have changed,
Code:
 VBAT | 1.51 Volts | nr
Is VBAT supposed to be CMOS battery or something else?

Thanks

VBAT is CMOS battery.
Should be ~3V

I measured the voltage of the battery with a multimeter. It is higher than 3V. Not sure why IPMI is reporting a lower voltage.

IPMI should not mistake Vbat for something else. Unlike say the lm-sensors package under Linux, which has to be programmed for every chip on most mainboards separately to give 100% accurate readings. Smells like a software bug.
