What version bios do these come loaded with from the seller??
I did not take note of it, I can look on the second one that I got if you want.
Should only be a problem if you don't have a v3 CPU to put into it.

Need to get all new ram and CPU for this board so bios version will greatly influence selection.

YES! It does! I was surprised. When I first got it, it did not and I was disappointing.
But I updated to the latest IPMI and boom! HTML5......

I also have the procedure to adjust the fan thresholds.

-JCL
Hi. Mind sharing the procedure to set the fan thresholds? I just installed my board in a Supermicro 846 chassis, and it's trying to send the stock fans into orbit! LOL

Sure, I will write down the procedure from my server and post it here soon.

I also got a couple with an offer of $135 each :D
Looks like I'll finally be upgrading my X9SRL's, and will have those for sale soon.

Anyone know what the current Ebay bargains are for 16/32G DDR4 sticks and v3/v4 CPU's?

My offer for $115 for one got accepted. Maybe I should have started lower :p

It will replace my X10SRA that doesn't have IPMI. I need to find a new fan compatible with the narrow ILM, any suggestion, apart for the usual noctua? It's for a desktop case.

Damn, I should of gone lower then. Haha :D

I've always had good luck with the Supermicro SNK-P0050AP4 which works with both square and narrow ILM

Yup I was looking at this one, it should be silent enough on IDLE and not too noisy under load.

I am a bit "scared" to buy a Noctua, since the on-board BMC control the fan speed and may not like the low RPM fan from Noctua.

You folks are such a bad influence on the wallet. $110 for one. Hoping they have been good with the service for this item. I recently saw comments here on the forum on a different thread that ocean_tech’s recent customer service has deteriorated. Hopefully its due to all the stuff going on with the COVID-19.

Yep, me too, I grabbed one as well! I already have the 4-port i350 version of this same board too and its a solid board.

SO.. again, cooler question if some of you have experience with some of them, since I need to order one:

- NH-D9DX i4 (3U)
- NH-U9DX i4 (4U)
- NH-U12DX i4 (should fit my tower, but pretty sure it will block some ram slot?)
- SNK-P0050AP4 (had two of them on a dual E52670 v1 build, they didn't seem very noisy at idle or low charge. Plus no need to tweak the BMC fan threshold)

Noctua
+ : with the good mounting kit, can be reused on virtually all platform
+: more silence
-: pricey
-: have to run them at full to avoid threshold issue? Or run a scruipt every time the PC is rebooted?

SNK-P0050AP4
+: directly compatible, no question asked
+: less expensive
-: more noise than the Noctua, but by how much?
-: cannot be reused on another platform

How about the HS it came with and a 80mm fan untop. The HS is a SNK-P0047PS and has a 145 tdp.

Will it be enough? I assume I will need a fan with good static pressure.

It's to cool a E5-2673 v3 by the way (TDP 105W)
