Basically I want to build couple of render nodes using dual Epyc Rome.
I planned to buy some low-end DL385 G10from Provantage, but i guess my non-US card would be rejected. There are some of this server with Epyc 7001 available elsewhere, but I’m not sure if one can simply update bios and switch to Epyc 7002? Anyone can confirm this?

That's what we're doing with our current DL385 G10 using the upgrade kit from HPE

How much effort is this? And can I just buy a random Rome chip off ebay and slide it into the current holder? Or what comes extra with the upgrade kit? Will look it up later if you haven't replied yet.
