So I just ordered a cheap 3D printer (Creality Ender 3 Pro) due to Amazon prime day, and I have been thinking it might be a good use of it, to print something that will help hold a fan to the Cooljag BUF-E heatsink I bought a while ago.

Have any of you guys done something like this? or have some experiences to share?

For what it is worth I ordered some PETG filament with it, as it is my understanding that it should be able to endure higher temperatures than PLA filament.

I used this one for an Opteron heatsink that didn't have a way to mount a fan (1U rack style).

PETG should work fine, I think I used ABS, but it was a while back. Even PLA should be alright, unless your CPU gets really hot. :)
Great, thanks for the feedback, it is more or less something like that I was planning on printing, so it is great to know that it can be done with good results.
