I just picked up four of these 32GB Hynix HMT84GR7MMR4A-H9 PC3L-10600R for $25 each.

Hynix HMT84GR7MMR4A-H9 32GB (1x32GB) DDR3 4Rx4 PC3L Server Memory #4333 RAM | eBay

Unless I read something wrong or this model has known issues, seems like the lowest price I've seen for 32GB. Only 1333 Mhz, but according to my Supermicro X9's manual, it clocks down with 4Rx4 DIMMS anyway

UPDATE: Dead now. The rest sold about 10 minutes after I posted.

I got 3 @ $25, and then had to find a single one from another seller for $47.

Thank you :D

Does 32GB PC3L-14900R exist or is it only LR?

Found 32GB DDR3 PC3L-14900L for ~$85/ea which is silly because DDR4 is better at that price point if you have the DIMM slots..

14900R is much more rare in general, but I've only seen it in LR DIMMs at 32GB, I have it at smaller capacity in RDIMM only.

Big loss of NAND (~15% of global supply for quarter) due to power outage in a toshiba/WD plant in japan as well, maybe a bit of a price bounce there as well coming.

NAND Fab Power Loss And 1 Tb TLC 128-Layer Flash
Samsung pulled a stunt like that last year didn't they? This is almost becoming standard practice by this industry to reduce production. I've never lived in S. Korea, so I can't say how common power outages are there, but having lived in Japan for over a decade, I have a hard time believing they suffered reliability issues, and that they didn't have some backup power mechanism that kicked in if they really did lose power.

I don't have any "special" knowledge here, so I'm speculating, but these type of events are just sounding very suspicious to me now... and they seem to happen when supplies are high and prices are dropping...
