I have four two sold Intel X520-DA2 dual 10Gb SFP+ ethernet cards with Intel SR optics and full height brackets. $50 each shipped to the CONUS.

Alternatively if you prefer I can swap one of them for a HP 560-SFP+ which is the same card but with HP firmware and branding.

How does this compare to the compatibility of a Mellanox ConnectX-3?
Need it to work with ESXi 6.5 or 6.7 and FreeNAS 11.2

They work fine with vSphere 6.7U1, no idea about FreeNAS, but I can only assume they would work with that. Its a very common adapter.

I've had no issue with the X520-DA2 and FreeNAS no far. VMware 6.5 and even Synology have support for these.

All are sold.

And i'm not sure. I've read that they're picky about optics but i've used them with 10GTek DAC cables and they work fine.
