Hi guys

As the title says, i'm looking for best bang for the bucks PCi nvme

Need around 1TB storage +-200GB is ok.
Must fit en x8 PCI 3.0 slot
Going to used for VM storage
Price below 450$

I have looked at Supermicro PCI-E 3.0 carrier card for up to four NVMe M.2 SSDs (AOC-SHG3-4M2P)
with 4x512gb and planed to use Raid10 or 5 on them.

But I see for the same price i could get an dedicated pcie nvme controller.

ive seen some intel ssds on ebay in u.2 form factor aswell as some AIC's that are pretty affordable that would fit in your budget.

if you do use a carrier card i would check if it has a plx chip as it will help you if you motherboard dose not support multiple devices in the one slot .
