I don't know why I really need this, or what I'm really going to do with this, but it seems my eBay bucks are getting depleted this afternoon.

Plus shipping makes it about 105. Seller counter offered at 75. Thinking about biting the bullet ....

Says no warranty. Probably guaranteed to have some issues. I was looking for something like this anyway, so I'll probably bite the bullet anyway.

Edit: Also put in an offer at $75.

This is nearly $100 cheaper than the next cheapest i can find elsewhere on google. Not a bad deal...

However, i bring with me a 14 or 15 inch laptop and also carry an HDMI cable so i can use any hotel tv.... i would hate to have to carry another 2 lb in my laptop bag....lol...

There are indeed a lot of broken returns from this seller.

My offer was accepted last night and I paid shortly after. ~$88 total for me because I'm also in TX so shipping was cheap. I'll report on mine when I get it (hopefully Monday). I wish I had a calibration tool so I could check color gamut...

same seller selling the same item in new condition for $195+ shipping...lol... returned stock?

Likely. I'm hoping that maybe other buyers had issues driving a native USB-C monitor with adapters or something vice the screen being defective. I'll be plugging it directly into my P5520's USB-C port.

Well, it's not terrible - a similar offering from the GeChic Onlap portable line will cost about 300 USD, but the question is...how many people here uses USB-C as their primary I/O? I don't think that many modern server chassis has a native USB-C port.

Personally I'm interested in this for a mobile 2 screen development setup. Could also be used with a newer NUC, or if one wanted to get crazy there are some pcie usb-c add-in cards.

I have always wanted a small travel monitor for my laptop. This was close to my ebay bucks certificate so why not.

I may prefer that too, but I figured buy this and the most I am out is ~$100 if it is not what I want.

So mine came in.

Thoughts:
  • Packaged well. Original HP box included inside a Fedex shipping box, secured to prevent movement.
  • Surprisingly heavy. 1219g on my kitchen scale with folio/kickstand.
  • Speaking of the kickstand, there's only one angle, which is a bit more "reclined" than I prefer at my desk.
  • No dead pixels that I could tell. Did a test here.
  • Backlight looks slightly dimmer at the corners.
  • Picture quality looks pretty good. Matte screen!!!
  • 6' USB-C cable, port is located on the bottom right corner of the screen. Might cause a problem if you want it to sit immediately to the left of your laptop.
  • IPS backlight bleed is significant. Impossible to ignore with a black screen, and present though not obnoxious when watching videos. Not noticeable with web browsing style use though.
EDIT: For giggles I tried to plug it in with a USB3 -> USB-C cable from a Google Pixel phone. The screen powered on, but there was no video signal. It appears be expecting a DisplayPort connection via USB-C.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. Here's a pic of it next to my P5520 (pardon the mess).
