Does anyone have any experience with the Dell version of the 9305-16e card in a non Dell system? Will it work or is it tied to use in a Dell server? Do I need to flash it to an LSI 9305-16e firmware? I haven't been able to find any info online about it.

Thanks

Thanks. Was it just a matter of flashing the latest bios and firmware to the card or did you need to do something specific to allow it to be flashed?

With Dell cards, you might have to consider the effects of their SMBus. If your motherboard uses SMBus on the PCI-e slot, it may conflict, if so, you can workaround it by taping over PCI-E pins B5/B6.

Thanks. Good to know. I will see if my ibm x3650M3 plays nice with it or not when it gets here.
