Mellanox ConnectX-2, Wake On Lan for Windows Desktops?

Happy with my card in my NAS, works great. Will never need or use WOL there.

Also got one in my Desktop PC, the option appears to be greyed out, do I need new drivers, firmware or is it simply not possible over fibre?

I'm finding conflicting information online.

I never got this working. Used integrated NIC for WOL. Also, after several sleep-wake rounds, my Connect-X2 hanged and computer needed reboot.

That's what I was thinking as my backup option actually. I did some googling and it's apparently possible though?

Didn't WOL require a special cable between card and motherboard, or amI completely out of date?
