Hello all,
After a bit of a fight with one of my PC's which utterly refused to detect the Mellanox at all ( turned out to be a BIOS issue with Agesa ) I now have them up and running.
I'm getting about 380Mb per second transfer under Windows 10 Pro from an 8 Drive Raid 6 array on a 9361 to a PCIe Gen3 X4 M.2 SSD.

What I am attempting to do now is make sure I have the latest firmware, drivers and software for them.

The first card shows as.
MST devices:
------------
mt26448_pci_cr0
mt26448_pciconf0

C:\WINDOWS\system32>flint -d mt26448_pciconf0 q
Image type: FS2
FW Version: 2.9.1200
Rom Info: type=PXE version=3.4.126 devid=26448 proto=ETH
Device ID: 26448
Description: Port1 Port2
MACs: 0002c94f9826 0002c94f9827
VSD:
PSID: HP_0F60000010

The second as
C:\WINDOWS\system32>mst status
MST devices:
------------
mt26448_pci_cr0
mt26448_pciconf0

C:\WINDOWS\system32>flint -d mt26448_pciconf0 q
Image type: FS2
FW Version: 2.9.1000
Rom Info: type=PXE version=3.3.500 devid=26448 proto=VPI
Device ID: 26448
Description: Port1 Port2
MACs: 0002c94ff970 0002c94ff971
VSD:
PSID: HP_0F60000010

Now while I regularly "never assume a god damned thing" by the looks of it both cards are identical in the respect of manufacturer (HP) and having the same PSID.

What I don't know is where to get the most up to date firmware for featureset, software and drivers as I don't know if even though these things are HP branded if they are generic and just use a different ID or if they have specific HP firmware etc.

Can someone help me out please.

I would have to say - i don't know - i am new to SFP having only dealt with base-T ethernet previously.
How would I be able to figure out the above I am presuming they are HP because of what the PSID said.

I don't know if this helps there is a label on the card that says Product of israel with the following
(S) IL2141007K
SP# 671798-001 AS#666172-001
REV A1
And the mac address.

And another label on the other side that says
11425032594530

These are hp branded mellanox ethernet only nics.
For the firmware check this post: https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/mellanox-connectx-2-firmware.14350/#post-137727

For drivers & software download the current winof package from mellanox (it works with the connect-x2): http://www.mellanox.com/page/products_dyn?product_family=32&menu_section=34
O.K Followed the details but I have struck a snag...
Everything appeared to go ok barring it complaining about the vendor when I followed those instructions to the letter... but vstat is still showing the old firmware revision as below.

hca_idx=0
uplink={BUS=PCI_E Gen2, SPEED=5.0 Gbps, WIDTH=x8, CAPS=5.0*x8}
MSI-X={ENABLED=1, SUPPORTED=128, GRANTED=18, ALL_MASKED=N}
vendor_id=0x02c9
vendor_part_id=26448
hw_ver=0xb0
fw_ver=2.09.1000
PSID=HP_0F60000010
node_guid=0002:c903:004f:f970
num_phys_ports=1
port=1
port_guid=0202:c9ff:fe4f:f970
port_state=PORT_ACTIVE (4)
link_speed=NA
link_width=NA
rate=10.00 Gbps
port_phys_state=LINK_UP (5)
active_speed=10.00 Gbps
sm_lid=0x0000
port_lid=0x0000
port_lmc=0x0
transport=RoCE v1.0
max_mtu=2048 (4)
active_mtu=2048 (4)
GID[0]=fe80:0000:0000:0000:0202:c9ff:fe4f:f970

It said the firmware I downloaded was Mellanox - even though it was the HP website it was coming from - leaving me slightly confused.

Help?

O.K I have managed to sort this myself with a lot of searching and thank god someone still had the firmware bits and pieces on a google drive. Has not made much of a difference between copying between ramdisks even of my two machines I top out at 360Mb per second. I have also just read that Microsloth have brought out yet another version of Windows - Windows 10 Professional Workstation which they want you to shell out more money for just so you can use RDMA and even then you have to have a windows server sku to have them talk - arseholes!.

Now that firmware is all updated can anyone kick my butt in the direction of getting anymore speed out of these?
