Or, in other words, Intel took its eye off delivering products for 1s and 2s systems because there was so much margin in larger systems. Not a bad strategy if there's nothing else that people could buy, horrible strategy if there's a competitor for 1s and 2s systems. (And there's a quite a huge fraction of the market that doesn't need anything more than a 1s server; Intel's been trying to avoid selling to that market because it would really hurt their margins, but it leaves a huge opening for AMD.)
