Figured I would start a thread thanks to a nudge from @Klee here Aeon mining thoughts. . Aeon mining performance. Going to use xmrig for these figures:
4x Intel Xeon Platinum 8180 = 20684H/s (940W)
2x AMD EPYC 7601 = 13884H/s
2x AMD EPYC 7501 = 13430H/s

2x AMD EPYC 7401 = 12076H/s
2x Intel Xeon Platinum 8180 = 10450H/s (586W)
2x AMD EPYC 7351 = 9836H/s
2x AMD EPYC 7301 = 9710H/s (310W)
AWS M5.24xlarge = 7920H/s (2x 24 thread miners)
2x Intel Xeon Gold 6152 = 6836 H/s
1x AMD EPYC 7601 = 6972H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2698 V4 = 6760H/s
1x AMD EPYC 7551 = 6576H/s
1x AMD EPYC 7501 = 6454H/s
2x Intel Xeon Gold 6138 = 6422H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2699 V4 = 6265H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2698 V3 = 6020H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2670 V3 = 4431H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2658 V3 = 4298H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2683 V3 = 4149H/s
2x Intel Xeon E5-2650L V3 = 3604H/s (104W)
2x Intel Xeon E5-2630 V4 = 3580H/s
1x Intel Xeon Gold 6132 = 2658H/s
2x Intel Xeon Silver 4110 = 2569H/s
1x Intel Xeon Gold 6134 = 1816H/s (20 threads need to validate)
2x Intel Xeon Silver 4112 = 1638H/s (5 threads per CPU)
1x Intel Xeon E5-2628L V4 = 1563H/s
1x Intel Atom C3955 = 1443H/s
1x Intel Atom C3958 = 1198H/s

Patrick you just might want to mine on a midsized pool and not the biggest, hate to see you get banned because you bump them over %51 all by yourself. LOL

My hash rates using Aeon-xmrig on bare metal:

Dual E5-2620 v1 server = 1700 - 1850 H/s (its doing more than just mining so the hash rate varies)
Open compute server E5-2660 v1 x4 = 5590 H/s
Open compute server E5-2665 v1 x4 = 6056 H/s
Dual E5-2667 V3 ES pc = 4340-4500 H/s (its my main desktop so its hash rate varies)
Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080Ti = 1475 H/s
GTX 650 = 246 h/s

And nope I have not measured power usage.

EDIT:
Lowered the number of cores from 15 to 14 running on bare metal:

Dual E5-2620 v1 server = 1800 - 1950 H/s (its doing more than just mining so the hash rate varies)

Running in docker plus tweaking the number of cores to one less per cpu than the "ideal" setting :

Open compute server E5-2660 v1 x4 = 6166 H/s
Open compute server E5-2665 v1 x4 = 6420 H/s
Dual E5-2667 V3 ES pc = 4075-4650 H/s depending on if I'm using it and mining or just mining.

1x AMD Ryzen 7 1700 = 1932 H/s (xmrig)
1x Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 = 907 H/s (xmrig)
1x AMD A8-7600 = 611 H/s (xmrig)
1x AMD Athlon II X2 240 = 49 H/s (easy miner)

1x AMD A8-7650k (oc 4.2GHz) = 735 H/s
1x Intel Xeon E3-1220 V1 = 845 H/s
1x Intel Xeon E3-1220 V3 = 940 H/s
1x Intel Xeon E3-1230 V6 = 1,050 H/s (almost 4x Monero hashrate)
2x Intel Xeon L5630 = 930 H/s
2x Intel Xeon X5650 = 1,550 H/s

Just a note for those looking to get into this, @Klee covered it Aeon mining thoughts. but: AEON is nowhere near as "stable" nor liquid as Monero. Just building this list since it is another CPU mining option.

Also, to give you an idea regarding just how small Aeon is - the 7 systems above, two of them Intel Atoms, now represent almost 0.3% of the global hashrate.

edit now 9 systems = 0.38%

Did a bit more optimization on the 1P EPYC for another ~1KH/s each.

So nonchalant you've just added 23 different configurations from one Atom, four Xeon and EPYC spanning 1-4 sockets in 22 hours.

Here are numbers from my systems:

2x E5620 = 1047 H/s
2x E5-2620 v1 = 1827 H/s (very lightly loaded)
2x E5-2620 v1 = 1840 H/s
2x E5-2650 v2 = 3212 H/s (lightly loaded)
2x E5-2450L v1 = 2101 H/s

All with 1 STH docker container per CPU, running 1 thread per core.

I just got the E5-2450L and was expecting it to do a bit better. It has 8 cores each + 20MB L3 each (like the E5-2650v2, though only 1.8 GHz rather than 2.6).

I was also wondering whether L3 latency across CPUs in the same generation is a fixed number of ns or a fixed number of clock cycles. I suppose that answers the question... unless memory channels are relevant. :/

I also still have 2 empty LGA 2011 sockets to fill. :) What's the best LGA2011 CPU to get for Aeon mining? (In terms of !/$ either ignoring socket cost or assuming ~$50/socket opportunity cost.)

Cryptonight-lite algo is ~2x faster than Cryptonight, so
GTX 980 - 800-900H/s
GTX 1070 - 1.2-1.3Kh/s
GTX 1080ti - 1.6-1.8Kh/s
Vega 64 Air - ~3.5Kh/s if you value relative silence or ~4Kh/s if you're OK with listening to a small helicopter trying to land all the time in your room

How are the Vega and GTX GPUs on AEON?
I'm getting double-ish compared to monero, so I generally keep GPU's mining Monero and CPU's mining AEON, since CPU's get 3x the hashrate, and some are slow enough not to even muck with Monero, but produce decent AEON numbers.

I am burning in 8xGTX 1070 rig, and that's getting 9000k at the moment, using ccminer, and no overclock.

Hey, Patrick,

If you ever get to it, I'd appreciate if you could re-run these Aeon numbers using my lukMiner release, too. You have quite a number of machines there for which I'd be curious to hear the hash rate for ...

I'll give it a go.
