Do you have a special cooling system for it? Or does it run cool enough to not need it? This is the perfect time of year to mine if you're in a colder climate :)

My mining room ( aka family room ) have two set of double patio doors and many windows,
I just open the windows and doors to create air flow.

You are right about winter weather for mining in the upcoming months. I am hoping to get 4-5 months of cold weather for crypto mining. Our night time temperature would dipped down to low 30 degree.

PowerColor Radeon RX VEGA 64 DirectX 12 AXRX VEGA 64 8GBHBM2-3DH 8GB 2048-Bit HB | eBay
I am in CA, Newegg charge me sales tax about 8%. I have a 8% Ebay coupon. Net price is $465.

I plan to use it for XMR mining for the first 6-8 months to pay for itself.
Even in CA with $0.28 KWH price, monthly profit is about $40 at today's XMR price.

Mining Calculator Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and Monero
Jeeez 0.28 KWH I wonder if I built a big enough rig how much id profit with a 0.032 KWH. How do you figure out your hash?

I was in a hurry to make a decision to buy or not, I do not have any vega card yet.
I end up reading Reddit monero mining threads to get a rough idea.

I am in the SF bayarea CA,
I dislike the high cost of living and taxes, but the real estate appreciation and rental income make up for the pain.

I'm kinda like you man I just started somewhere I ended up going with this for my first personal build.

The full build came up to about $700 bucks. I'm still trying to figure out the hash rates and all that stuff. What's the difference in that GPU your showing above over the GPU I have if you don't mind me asking. Would it be fast or a better mining rate or what?

One old account doed not received coupon email.
So I signed up a second new account linked to the same paypal account.
The new second account gets lots of Ebay buck coupon.

Isn't 6-8 months a bit optimistic for a payoff? Even if difficulty stays the same, and it likely won't, you're looking at almost 12 months to get your $465 back.

I did not word correctly, I do not believe mining would pay for hardware.
I would be lucky if mining would break-even after paying power bill.

It is just a excuse to buy new toys, and pretend to justify it.

Last year, I purchased 2 x ASUS 4nodes 2U servers , filled with some cheap 16 x E5 v3 CPU, starting mining.
Total cost for 2 servers were about $3,300.

Same time last year There was no hope to mine enough XMR to pay for power nor hardware.
Then XMR price went from $6 to $12 to $24 , then $40 to over $100.

I am just dreaming.

In most business models profitable after 12 months is a "sign me up now" proposition.

"Past performance is no guarantee of future results."

Today, you could sell ATI RX470 or RX480 for at least 60%-120% of last years sale price.
You could mine XMR using the video cards for 1 year, sell the card for profit ( if brought the card at fire sale price)
or break-even price.
In earlier 2017, I paid low $100 for RX 470 or RX 480 cards. I could sell the a RX480 card for $130 at an instance.
