I purchased these new for a project I was working on, but ultimately went a different route that allowed for more NVMe slots in a single chassis.

1x A2U44X25NVMEDK kit & 1x A2U44X25NVMEDK2 Kit- $825 $425 + Shipping.
These were installed in a machine, used a few hours for testing, and then pulled back out. MSRP seems to run in the $550- $650 range for each kit..

If someone needs the whole setup, I would also be open to the idea of selling the whole barebones server (previously listed in one of my FS ads). It's currently serving as my way overkill 24 core PFSense box, however, so you'd have to ask nicely ;)

Intel 2U 8x NVMe Barebones Server
including:
R2600WT chassis
S2600WT2 MB
1x 750W Intel Power supply
AXX10GBNIAIOM Intel mez card (2x 10G SFP+)
NVMe kit listed above
$1550 $1125

SOLD:
1x A2U44X25NVMEDK2 Kit
1x A2U44X25NVMEDK kit

What route did you end up going? I ask as a fellow NVMe buddy!

GLWS!

Nailed it!

Understood. I had my eye on the GS4008 that sold in the UK in on eBay this morning.. After tax and shipping it was more than I wanted to cough up.

--As as side note, if anyone wants to trade a GS4008 for a GS7200, get in contact with me!

interested in one kit, assuming the A2U44X25NVMEDK2 is the gen2 model with the built-in PLX switch? How much for just the gen2 kit? Thanks

As far as I'm aware, there is no Gen 1/Gen 2, just two different kits. One includes a plx switch to minimize overall pcie lane usage, but theoretically is the slower of the two kits. Notice that the non PLX switch kit uses a x16 rather than x8 HBA..

Unless you can confirm the x16 card has all four ports working in a supermicro x9 motherboard i will probably stick with the x8 one that includes the PLX switch. Let me know if you will sell just that kit and the price. Thanks!

@chune these are for Intel, are you thinking you can get them to work in SM?

I'm pretty sure @AJXCR tried and they didn't work.

Sorry for the delay.. Flew back into town late this evening. I was really hoping to sell both kits together (or the server all as a single unit), but if it's something you're really interested in, I'll sell you one kit for $425. I don't have a X9 board to test it in, however..

I DO have an X10DAC I'm planning to pull the procs out of tonight that i'd be willing to let go of :D

Running short on processors atm and arrived home to a barebones machine sitting on my doorstep :)
