Not even sure if this is computer related but it is a nice cabling job. :)
Nope, not computers. Either video or experiment sensor hookups at some place like CERN. If it was data, there would be pairs of transmit / receive, like this:

Those are T3 cables (45Mbit/sec leased line) from a datacenter I wired 15+ years ago. These days it is all Metro Ethernet on fiber.

I blame yall for all the 1080 and 1080ti deals. You managed to break me... I still haven't gotten money back from nvidia over the 970s yet and mine needs to be rmad, now it has a replacement.

My budget was really, really, tight when putting them together. Had to go for the absolute cheapest, yet functional, heatsinks. But those heatsinks keep the CPU at 60c max. Brilliant coolers at the price I paid for. (29.99CAD ea)

That's why you are seeing only 2 sticks of RAM also. 2 more are on the way tho. It's mainly for CPU rendering w/ Blender and Terragen software. GPU is there for kicks.

I paid less than $20 each from Newegg. Best bargain coolers for Xeon's .

But I still like the CoolerMaster 212 Evo's better even tho they are almost twice the price.
I find the CM 212 @ $20 pretty frequently. In fact, I think they are $20 right now on Amazon.

10 year old drives? Why?

Not exactly worthy of this thread even if there are 500 of them.
I had to look it up, those drives are known (74gb version) for 50-70mb performance levels... 2-3x slower than a modern capacity drive, at almost half the RPM and surely half the power at idle.

Soooo gotta ask why!?!? lol fun? I could see a 24x for fun (I have a 300gb version 10k rpm myself) but why 500? That sounds like you're gonna use it for something REAL?! lol, or cry?

They all aren't the same Ill have to show you the inventory once I'm done cleaning them. They range from 74GB to 500GB all WD.

Hmmm not really much in the way of Pron here. Pretty standard stuff you would see in most server rooms...

Nothing to see here move alo.. Oh, wait.. Orange! Lots and lots of orange cool stuff. Everyone crowd around.

P.S. I, too, workout right beside the server rack, but the vacuum hose is on the opposite wall. The vacuum, however, is right above the rack. Makes cleaning the bin out... interesting...

What's with the TV next to the rack? Can you even hear it over the fan noise?

There is a certain pucker factor there...

Loudest thing in the rack is the UPS. Normal Ops = 1x R320/8c/48GB/4x4TB/16VMs + a SuperMicro D525/4x4TB storage barge + 1x Nortel 5520-48PWR with upgraded fans + Synology 2disk + (router.r.pi.thingies). I usually have the radio up loud and the TV on to the security cams, ebay auto refreshing, or the Playmate Party at 0930 on channel 780.
