Since I've been deploying TP-Link switches for a SMB customer of mine, I've been putting camel^3 price watches on Amazon. Recently noticed their prices are at all time lows directly from Amazon:

TP-Link T1600G-52TS (*fanless*, 48x RJ45 1Gbps ports + 4x SFP 1Gbps ports that are not shared):

Normally about $400, now $300 $270 on 6/10:

Amazon.com: TP-Link JetStream 48-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 4-SFP Slots (T1600G-52TS): Computers & Accessories

TP-Link T2600G-52TS (same as above T1600, but more features and console port):

Normally about $450-$500, now $350 $250 on 6/10:

Amazon.com: TP-LINK JetStream 48-Port Gigabit L2 Managed Switch with 4 SFP Slots (T2600G-52TS): Computers & Accessories

TP-Link T1700G-28TQ (*fanless*, 24x RJ45 1Gbps ports + 4x SFP+ 10Gbps ports):

Normally about $450-$500, now $254!! (Sadly, price went up to $372 on 3/26):

Amazon.com: TP-Link JetStream 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch with 4-10GE SFP+ Slots (T1700G-28TQ): Computers & Accessories

TP-Link T1700-28PS (PoE+ version, but with 1Gbps SFP only):

Normally about $400, now $280 $245 on 6/10:

Amazon.com: TP-Link JetStream 24-Port Gigabit Smart PoE+ Switch with 4-SFP Slots - 802.3AT Compliant (T1600G-28PS): Computers & Accessories

This is the first fanless switch with 10Gb ports I 've heard of.
If the switch is working fine I think specs are fantastic for small home or office. 4x10Gb SPF+ and the fact that is noiseless is killer feature.

Cisco 3650-CX are fanless and some models have 2 x 10G Base-T rj45 + 2 x 10G SFP+

Cisco Catalyst 3560-CX and 2960-CX Series Compact Switches Data Sheet

E.g. C3560CX-8XPD-S & C3560CX-12PD-S
(And PoE/PoE+)

But they are 3 or 4 times the price and full layer3 and double the power consumption. Different league I know but it's what I was thinking to get given all the features and at the end a good Cisco enterprise product just in a compact fanless form factor.

I think only the C3560CX-8XPD-S has 10G BASE-T. Looks nice.. Compact and fanless. I want one :D

Newegg also has the TP-Link T1700-28TQ at $254, but only if you choose Newegg as the seller and its currently on Auto-Notify.

No guarantee of course the price won't change when they do get more units in stock.

Having POE+ would be nice as I plan to use an Ubiquiti AP. Still, for that I can just use an injector which already comes in the box.

sadly, the T1700G-28TQ price has gone up to $372. But the T2600G-52TS dropped to $330. Glad I got my orders in on the T1700G-28TQ!

Now the T1700G-28TQ is up to $416!

I would have been all over it at $280, but I don't think I can justify over $400 just to add 2 more 10GB devices.

It's 4 10Ge ports, not just 2. Yeah, at $254 it was a no brainier and I picked up a couple. I thought others would be jumping on this when I first posted, but guess not.

I currently have a 48 port managed POE Gigabit switch. I have several LAGS on it. I also have a 'dedicated' 10Gb Copper direct connection between my primary workstation and my primary storage server. My big complaint is the switch is LOUD.

If I could move to a fanless design, plus add in two more 10gb ports I'd consider it. Even after having to swap out the copper 10gb nics in my workstation and server . . . .

Mine just arrived the other day. Got it for the $254 price.

Seems to work fine. Being fanless is great. My old 24 port 1g switch was actually the loudest component in my rack before.

Thanks to BLinux for being this great deal to attention.
