@Sable sounds like a great deal to me!! Personally when I want that qty drives though I make sure I have access to drive SMART data to monitor them. Now if you're sticking them in a Dell or only using a couple per-system it's less of a concern for me.

Either way it's a great deal IMHO.

Tempting. How well would these do if I put six in each of my three R710s for a 3-node, all flash vSAN? My only concern is my CPUs don't match up. dual E5640s, dual X5660s, and dual X5670s. Would vMotion still work?

Hey, i ran the SSD's through Intels smart toolbox (link below), would you (or anyone else) consider this result to be pleasing or do i have to use another tool? Gyazo - e10d2c051125de2a520c6cc06b2195c6.png

Would 14130 power on hours & 100% health remaining be considered a good thing? Anyone? I got those 300gb s3500 intel ssd's at 60$ each delivered.

@Sable how many GB or TB written to them? How many restarts? Relocated sectors? Other Error?

If you don't want them for $60 I likely would take them depending on answers to above :) so PM/conversation me if you want to unload.

I accidentally bought one of these 300GB drives from MET the other day. It has 10600 power on hours with a cycle count of 60. Im not sure how to tell how much has been written, but the Intel utility says "100% left".

On the Intel warranty checker page, it says it is unable to find either the SN or ISN.

@StevenDTX use the Intel SSD ToolBox in windows to get all info very easily, or you can use hD Sentinel in windows to view it easily too.
If you don't want it PM/conversation me here and I may take it off your hands :)

Thanks!

I have the Intel SSD Toolbox installed. Which field gives me total writes?

I'm going to keep it. I can always use it as a spare...or you never know when you may need a small SSD. I thought I was buying a 120GB, since it was the same price!
