$50 off is not worthy of a "Great Deal" post is what I'm saying.
Why not get 2x of the 480gb for $100 each? That's MUCH cheaper, and more performance having multiple drives?
It's
SM863, not
PM863. 3DWPD instead of
0.3DWPD. Faster writes, more IOPS. It's new with 5 years warranty. And BO option. They declined 250, but probably it's possible to lower listed price. I'll tell what price my friend will have at the end of negotiations.
And there are no offers for SM863 even for RRP by the way. The
only option on the US eBay - $800 OBO for these drives, the last sale in the middle of November - $640 (with 4 drives overal). One drive is in stock on Amazon US for $579, others - $740-800. So at the moment it's pretty good option, especially for EU, I think.
Don't know what's going on with SM863 drives but prices went up for at least $250 for 1.92TB version (actually even more, and I wanted to buy a few pretty soon
). Didn't notice old prices for 960GB version though, so can say nothing about changes.
